Nicole Landwehr (she/they), PhD, LCSW, REAT, CST, RYT-200 is the founder of Carnelian. They founded Carnelian in 2021 with the desire to expand beyond the insurance-driven healthcare model, and offer more comprehensive and creative wellness services.
Carnelian is a safe and judgment-free space for people of all identities. We all deserve the support and tools to live our most fulfilling lives, but we live in a society full of shame and barriers to access. The following services are offered at Carnelian:
Nicole offers psychotherapy as a more traditional therapy option, and as a baseline in combination with other approaches.
As a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT®), Nicole can offer unique approaches to healing
Nicole can offer clinical supervision to students/apprentice practitioners.
Nicole welcomes the opportunity to work with universities, organizations, businesses, and other practices to expand.

Recognizing the limitations of traditional insurance-driven mental health models, Nicole offers clients more creative pathways to personal growth and healing, integrating multiple techniques like expressive arts, sexual health, and yoga into traditional therapy. Together, Nicole will work with you to uncover challenges and create a specific approach that best fits your needs and goals.
